A map for the question in front of you

No long course is required. Pick the line that sounds most like the thought already in your head.

“What is this?”Sort the three product types
“Can an online visit count?”See how Colorado treats it
“Is this person real?”Run a state license check
“Why is the quote unclear?”Split the cost into parts
“This claim feels wrong.”Scan the red flags
Start with your current question, then read the one chapter that answers it.

The place matters

Colorado rules apply when the patient is in Colorado

An online service may look national. The visit still happens somewhere. Colorado’s medical board says the place is where the patient is sitting during the visit.

As of September 2026, a doctor or other medical professional treating a person in Colorado needs a Colorado license or telehealth registration that allows that care.

What this map does not do

It does not choose a business or treatment for you

This plain-language guide sorts product types, points to public checks, and gives you questions to ask. You make the personal choice with a licensed medical professional.
