The pharmacy name turns a claim into a check

Without the name, there is no useful way to confirm who made or sent the medicine.

Ask directly

Which pharmacy makes and sends the medicine?

This is the most useful early question for an online service. Get the full business name, not only the name printed at the top of the service’s page.

As of September 2026, a pharmacy outside Colorado must register with the Colorado Board of Pharmacy before sending prescription medicine into the state.

Regular pharmacy

Check the Colorado pharmacy record for permission to serve people in the state.

Large compounding facility

An “outsourcing facility” is a site that can make many units of sterile medicine at once, instead of filling a prescription for one named patient. As of September 2026, a large out-of-state compounding facility also needs a separate Colorado registration before sending compounded medicine here.

Missing or false name

The FDA has found products with pharmacy names that did not exist or did not make the product.

A real pharmacy or facility name can be checked in public records; a hidden name blocks that check.

Watch the wording

Registration is not product approval

A business may accurately say it is registered and still mislead readers by making that sound like approval. As of September 2026, the federal rule says registration does not approve a facility or a drug.
