Four Colorado records answer four different questions

Do not ask one badge to prove everything. Match the question to the public record that can answer it.

QuestionWhere to checkWhat it can show
Can this doctor or physician assistant practise?Colorado Medical BoardLicense and any public board action against it
Can this nurse practise?Colorado Board of NursingLicense and any public board action against it

Check the medical professional and the pharmacy separately; permission for one does not prove permission for the other.

Law check

The Colorado rules used in this guide

As of September 2026, doctors and physician assistants are licensed by the Colorado Medical Board, while pharmacies and pharmacists are licensed by the Colorado Board of Pharmacy.

As of September 2026, Colorado also offers telehealth-only registration to some medical professionals who hold a license in another state.

Use the search in small steps. Start with a name. Pick the job. Open the record. Make sure the role and place match. Then read whether the license or registration is active. Do the same for the place that sends the medicine. Keep the two checks apart.

Do not guess from a badge. Save the page for your notes. Check the person first. Check the drug source next. One match cannot stand in for the other. This may feel slow. It gives you facts that an ad cannot.

Colorado permission does not replace federal medicine rules

As of September 2026, Colorado law lets licensed pharmacies supply compounded medicines to licensed health professionals only when federal and state law are followed. As of September 2026, Colorado permission cannot make a product legal when federal law does not allow it.
